All Aboard, Or Not
I'm the one on the platform
refused to board the train
to populous Victimhood.
I mouth a sweet good-bye
to the boneheads that love
hearing me grovel
for speaking up for myself
even if it's in a painting
or a poem.
To be a pawn in their playbook
holds no special appeal,
so I don’t mind standing alone
in the loading zone waiting
for the stench of despair to clear
and the fog of sobs to fade.
I'm catching the next train
bound for Happyville and bid adieu
to the victims of themselves.
