Dorothy Scoffs at Bots, Prefers Disasters That Breathe

Maybe a sordid affair with a mirror—

it responds with flattery

and, chatbots— same!

When a man disappoints you,

he shows up hot mess and all

—utterly no consequences.

I take egomaniac men much more

seriously than these chattery bot things.

My typewriter loves me, writes love notes,

bots offer tissues to fire.

Lip service from a store-bought machine mind

and feigns a soul, always lies,

a man who’s all charm, no trousers—

delightful until madness.
